The house was absolutely charming, in a beautiful area.

It would have been good to have had some sharp kitchen knives for food preparation and we missed our duvet!

A lovely little house in a beautiful village

5 of 5
Firstly, even though this booking was made at short notice, we found the process of dealing with HomeAway and then Paolo very straightforward, and Paolo responded very quickly to a couple of minor queries that we had after we arrived. The house is beautiful, and set in a lovely hilltop village built in the warm cream local stone: it has superb views. Inside, it is very well equipped with everything one could want for a self-catering holiday. The bedroom and bathroom sit on a mezzanine floor and again are well equipped with plenty of storage. Apart from one rainy morning we had sunny (if chilly) weather with bright southern European light (a huge contrast with the grey gloom of London which we wanted to escape) so that we were able to take long walks on the many tracks and paths which surround the hill. We'd expected a lot of shops and restaurants to be shut for the January holidays, and they were! Very few restaurants were open after 6pm (none open at all in the village), but the village shops did open and there are excellent supermarkets in Coustellet, Cavaillon and Apt so we were able to cook well for ourselves. We hope to book again if a suitable gap in our diaries opens up next winter!
