A wonderful home in beautiful surroundings

5 of 5
We had an absolutely brilliant holiday in Chris and Sylvia's gite! It was the perfect home, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, with mod cons including a dishwasher, washing machine and heated towel rail. It was also beautiful to look at, inside and out. Guests have access to the whole garden, which is full of birds - we saw hoopoes and green woodpeckers - and Chris and Sylvia also have a friendly and gentle dog and cat, who were great companions. The views from the gite are stunning, as is this whole area - ideal for country walks, visiting medieval castles and villages, and the delicious local food markets. Chris and Sylvia live next door and were very welcoming and discreet - they left us to our own devices but were always on-hand when we had questions, and they gave us some great recommendations for walks and day trips. All in all, we can't recommend this gite highly enough and we hope to be back one day!

A great place to stay - what a landmark!

The gite is over three levels and the main rooms are fantastic. The kitchen, toilet and bathroom are basic, but remember the place was built at the same time as the castle. Both Christiane and Bernard are lovely people and made us feel very welcome. The views are fantastic.
