A lovely flat in a great Location

5 of 5
This flat, in which my wife and I stayed over 4 weeks, is in a great location. It is quiet, very near the Moulares tram stop (3 lines), the River Lez with lovely walks and the shops and restaurants of Port Mariane and Jacques Coeur. It was very easy to get to the Old Town of Montpellier on the tram to shop, eat out or just wander the small streets. The bars and restaurants around the Jacques Coeur lake were lovely, very peaceful and a place to spend many hours. The flat is well appointed and very comfortable and provided everything we required. It was clean and well maintained. The weather was very hot and the air conditioning made the flat very comfortable during the day and at night. The garage for the car is excellent, avoiding on street parking and was safe. We were very well cared for by Isabelle and her colleague and any problem or requirement was dealt with efficiently and quickly. All in all an excellent holiday which we are hoping to repeat next year! Montpellier is a lovely town and a great centre from which to explore the surrounding area.

It's like being in the countryside, with Montpellier on the doorstep.

We had a wonderful time at Benedicte's studio. It was just as described in the listing. An excellent studio apartment for us - suitable for one or two adults. The studio is part of the single house on the property but provides privacy and direct access to the exterior. Benedicte, the host and owner, was extremely helpful to us ........ on arrival, during our stay and at departure. In fact, she could not have been more helpful. The apartment was clean, well furnished, well appointed with cooking accessories and with basic staples provided. A dedicated WIFI router serves the studio. There is a an extensive selection of bars and restaurants within 12 minutes walking distance in the development of Port Marianne. We particularly enjoyed Trinque Foucasse, La Factory and Mia (Michelin one *) at Port Marianne. In Montpellier we can recommend La Diligence. Across the bridge over the Vez river (same area as the restaurants) there is convenient shopping - Carrefour, Monoprix and an artisan bakery We used the efficient tram system. Three lines were within 10 minutes walk providing the ability to be in the apartment without a vehicle. Two of the tram lines serve the downtown, with the other one routing to the sea (we did not take this journey so recommend researching the transit system). We took many day trips during our stay. Port du Gard and Nimes, Uzes, Saint Remy de Provence and Les Baux de Provence, Arles, Carcassonne and AIgues Mortes. At Arles visit the museum with the Roman collection ....... and check on whether the Van Gogh Foundation is open (closed for refurbishment during our visit). At Les Baux we recommend the multi-media presentation in the underground limestone quarry - outstanding (http://www.lesbauxdeprovence.com/fr). We also recommend researching market days before you stay; and look up the listings of the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Access to the toll roads was easy and the journey times were generally just around an hour each way - with Carcassonne a little more. We thoroughly recommend Benedicte's apartment and would encourage any potential visitors to commit early!

Spotless apartment in upmarket area, handy for shops, restaurants and tram for Montpellier

5 of 5
What a superb apartment. Easily the best holiday rental we have ever had. Everything you need is included. Nice terrace outside with small garden. Efficient air conditioning keeps you cool in the 30+ degree heat. The whole place is spotlessly clean with new appliances and furniture. Oh, and the owner is delightful. We will definitely be back.
