We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Biscarrosse in the house of Alain and Marie. We were given a warm welcome and helpful advice on arrival. The house was excellent and catered for all our needs. We were very lucky with the weather and able to take advantage of the activities available in the area.

We have just spent 5 nights in this beautiful house, relaxing and enjoying the last of the French summer. We loved the charming interior of the house, finding it cool throughout the day, even when the temperature outside was over 30 degrees, but not cold in the evening. There were plenty of amenities but being English, we would have also liked a kettle, to make a nice cup of tea. Also, no duvet covers, bed linen or towels were provided, which didn't really make any sense to us; however, the owners (who literally live over the fence) were happy to provide us with good sized towels when we asked. They also gave us very good advice on places to eat and drink, so don't be afraid to make the most of their knowledge of the area. The conservatory is large and comfortable, and there is plenty of decking space; however, I do feel it would benefit from the addition of higher quality sun loungers, as the 2 provided were more like stretchers. As for the pool, when they say natural, they really mean natural - you are literally sharing it with frogs and fish! This may not be to everyone's taste but if you have no problem having a dip in the sea or a lake then this should be fine and it fitted well with the overall feel of the place. To sum up, we loved the charm of the place and the natural pool really worked for us. Yes, there were flaws that stop us from giving it 5 stars, but it has a charm about it that got inside our hearts and made us feel genuinely sorry to leave. Richard & Emma x
