Fabulous apartment but would benefit from aircon....

4 of 5
We had a great stay here in Robion. The apartment is really amazing and actually looks better than the pictures. Plenty of space and spotlessly clean. Fabulous outside space with two balconies and an amazing view from the top one. In all, one of the best apartments we have stayed in and we have stayed in quite a view. I would imagine that this part of the world generally gets very warm summer temperatures and it was around 35 degrees for most of the week when we were there which was great but not when it came to the evenings. With no aircon or even freestanding fans, sleeping was rather uncomfortable and required 3.00am showers to cool down. I think Fabien could maybe invest in something to try and help with this. Lastly, the cleaning fee I felt was rather excessive. We spoke a reasonable amount of French but Fabien spoke no English. We were asked when we arrived if we wanted to pay which was 80 euros and I paid but not knowing really how much cleaning was involved. It was only after when we found a notice in the kitchen stating what had to be done if we didn't want to pay the 80 euros, which in actual fact wasn't that much. It would have been nice if he had let us read this info first and to allow us to then make a decision. I have never paid so much for cleaning and I feel it's too much, about 30 euros too much, so food for thought. All in all it was a great spot. Robion has a supermarket, couple of places to eat, a petrol station, a takeaway pizza place and a little bar 2 mins from the apartment.....perfect

TIcks all the boxes!

I saw the photos online and could hardly believe that this place was going to be as good as it looked - but it was! We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children, aged 4 and 18 months respectively. The accommodation is both private and flexible, so that it would suit almost any combination of guests. There is plenty of space so that we never felt on top of one another and plenty of room in the garden for the children to run around (when they weren't in the pool!). The children's play area was an added bonus. The pool is something else-graduated and with steps at the shallow end for the children but large enough and deep enough for adults too. The setting is fabulous and it was a real treat to open the bedroom doors onto the garden and pop into the pool for an early morning dip. Rousillion with its supermarket, pretty shops and restaurants is only a few minutes (uphill) drive away but the villa itself is in a very rural position with no noise or light pollution. Christian, the house manager is both charming and multilingual and was able to conjure up a plumber at short notice when we had a problem with one of the showers. What's not to like? We're hoping to book again for next year.......
