Beautiful traditional French Gite. Warm, welcoming and friendly hosts. Brilliant , fun and safe arrangements for children. The gite is perfect in everyway. Very clean and has all equipment you would need. The pool was lovely, clean and was a complete hit with our family. Tranquil area with interesting, charming places to visit. Ideal shopping nearby and perfect distance from the airport. We really couldnt review it any higher. Brilliant time had by all. Deserves higher than 5 stars. Will definitely be returning.

Fabulous!

5 of 5
The barn is beautiful inside and out. The rooms are spacious and airy, but furnished in a very welcoming and cosy way. All the beds were really comfortable with beautiful bedding. Plenty of storage space. The bathrooms are bright and clean and there are lovely touches such as handwash and shower caps, plus a footstool and child seat for the loo. The downstairs bathroom has a very good washing machine with laundry detergent supplied. The kitchen is very well laid out and very well equipped. It is very clean and tidy and easy to use. The lounge/dining area is large, cool and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, the photos do not do it justice. They are immaculately kept with lots of different areas to sit. We loved to sit on the veranda in the evenings and watch the cows grazing and the birds and bats flitting about. (Our ecologist friend identified 10 different species of bat from there!) The pool area is lovely and is gated, so perfect for families with young children. There is lots of shady, grassy areas outside of the pool enclosure for children to play without worry. June, Gerry and their family are very friendly and welcoming, always available with advice about the area, or to help with problems (of which there were none!). They also have two gorgeously friendly dogs who will greet you on your return from days out, plus two very sweet cats. The village of St Laurent La Vallee is in walking distance, and has a delightful restaurant and handy shop. There are plenty of other small supermarkets and bakeries within a small distance, as well as a very good supermarket in St Cyprien, 20 minutes away, and more in Sarlat. There was a lovely local market on in the village when we stayed, and a vintage car rally called in to the square for coffee one morning, all making our holiday truly idyllic! We will certainly return!
