House and setting lovely - outside areas could do with some additions

4 of 5
House was beautiful, well equipped and the rooms were large, well furnished and very comfortable. It was the outside that could do with a couple of improvements. The table situated outside at the back for dining did not have full shade in the midday and so we were unable to sit outside as it was just too hot. It would benefit from a proper canopy fully over the table. A couple of additions to make the outside better would be: - a gas barbecue - charcoal is never easy to manage - proper sun loungers around the pool - with the ones that are there - you cannot lie on them to suntan your back!! - some comfortable seating in the shade outside where you can lounge and read a book - there is no comfortable outdoor seating - table and chairs on the back patio - cushions for the seating at the dining table - the metal seats - although lovely to look at are not comfortable We had a lovely stay - these are simply suggestions to make things even better

I didn't realise the boat was static when I booked!

4 of 5
The boat was clean, had everything that was needed, however, was a bit cramped for two tall people. The restaurant at the lock served delicious food, and it was all very tranquil. Patrick was very helpful when we arrived, and meticulously showed us the workings of the boat. He was easy to reach via email too.
