We had a lovely stay at Chez Pineau with our two young children. The garden was lovely and Alison and Brian were most kind and accommodating. The WiFi and Cebeebies were a great bonus with the little ones!

we enjoyed our stay at the lovely old rustic property, it has been done out beautifully to still have its old features high ceilings and beams . the kitchen had all that we needed for a stay cooking on a gas cooker with a gas bottle attched was different . there are all the mod cons dishwasher ,washing machine which the cycles are all in french, it would be helpful to have instructions in the welcome pack to know how to use ,we did sort it out eventually by using a translation app on phone that can scan words then turns it into other languages. The bedrooms are large and very dark at night as no street lights so a torch is a good idea to have which there is some around to use. There is quite a bit of traffic that goes past in morning that my sons had to listen to as we where in back bedroom apart from that a very quiet and calming different way of life . the garden is lovely with different garden furniture and places to sit .We also enjoyed using the bbq. there is no coffee shop or place to buy milk, veg ,or meat, in saint Germain ,but there is a van that comes around about 8.40 and bibs its horn to let you know it has arrived selling bread and pastries which was a lovely way to get fresh bread which i only found out by seeing the gentleman next door go to the van, so this would also be a lovely thing to put into your welcome pack Emma . we walked over the bridge up to the castle in saint Germain and walked around the old tannerise houses and down to the river where you can get light refreshments from a wooden hut, there are long wool donkey's their a very quiet place hardly saw anyone on other side of river which looks like it has had quite a bit of money doing the roads and paths up even the water pump works ,but a shame can't quite say the same for where the property is. but i hope they will come and do the same for the area. We enjoyed kayaking on the river in conflens, there are also pedalos for younger families which is about 15mins away for saint Germain. we enjoyed the walking route around conflens looking at all its medival building's. it also has a lovely old railway which is run by volunteers, that has pedal cars carriages on it most days which we did not do as to hot but we did go on the 1950's carriage they do have English translation of the history but you have to ask for it . Thank you Emma we really enjoyed our time in conflens.
