Les Saisies Holiday Apartments & Chalets (300+)

Excellent

5 of 5
The apartment is lovely, easily big enough for 8 of us without tripping over each other and well equipped with everything you need (note: the ensuite room is equivalent to a kingsize bed so a double fitted sheet will not fit!) We had a couple of issues with there not being enough hot water for 8 of us to shower, so we just chilled with a beer and waited for it to heat up again! Huge TV and dvd player (for those Brits take your own DVDs as the ones in the apartment are french/dutch). It's approx 100m to the Bisanne 4man ski lift and even during half term the most we waited was 10mins! It's quite a trek from the covered garage to the room when taking stuff up to and back from the room to the car but there is a lift in the apartment block. The ski storage was big enough for all 8 sets of skis but we took our boots to the apartment otherwise they felt damp in the morning. The pool was nice and clean albeit rather cold. If you are a none skier bear in mind that although there is a bus service to the centre of Les Saisies this only runs once per hour which is fine going but not so easy returning due to the number of people wanting to return to Les Bisanne and if you don't 'push' hard enough you will need to wait another hour for the next bus and the last one back leaves at 6.30pm. The skiing was great, fantastic snow although we did have a couple of cloudy/snowing days, lovely wide blue/red runs and we managed to ski a wide area and never had to use a button lift! I would definitely recommend this apartment for those that like it away from the hustle and bustle of Les Saisies and would certainly go again.

Beautiful chalaet in a great location

5 of 5
We spent the February half term week here enjoying great skiing and a very relaxed break in this beautiful chalet. The chalet is perfectly well appointed with everything you need for self-catering, and everything is high spec. There are rooms for everything - boot room for skis, laundry room, gym, great relaxing space, comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. We also enjoyed, as a group with six children, the use of a table tennis table and table football. The chalet itself is a 20 minute drive from the main ski resort, Les Saisies, although you can access L'Espace Diamant via Hauteluce, which is 10 minutes away. There are two access roads to the skiing and, as both are bus routes, they are regularly cleared of snow. The nearby supermarket (within walking distance) is a really good size and has everything you need. Any questions we had about the chalet before our trip were swiftly answered by the owner and we were kindly welcomed on our arrival in Villard. We would definitely recommend this chalet and would love to visit it again!
