                                Summer stay in Chamonix

                                4 of 5
We were a group of four adults and three teenagers. The chalet was spacious enough for us, with great outside space (although a few sun-loungers rather than deck chairs in the garden would really assist). I suspect that without that outside space the single living area could feel a bit cramped. We had an issue with the DVD player when we arrived but it was quickly sorted and the service was excellent. The location is absolutely fantastic - 15 minute walk to the centre of Chamonix and 10 minute walk to the tennis courts. The kitchen was reasonably well-equipped, my perennial issue with rented properties being a lack of sharp knives which was also true here. Overall I would recommend this chalet for a great summer holiday.

A place to deeply chill out in style...

                                5 of 5
Think of a French farm house a few hundred years old but re-decorated by Ralf Lauren. My favourite feature was an original enormous fireplace that is probably a one of a kind. The bedrooms are all downstairs. Beds were very comfortable and with the window open at night it was a uber quiet and blissful sleep in cool fresh mountain air. I had a dip in the hot tub each morning and each evening - perfect actually. The location is really superb. A short 3 min walk on a very quiet road and your in the forest already. Hiking is superb. Hike up to Montenvers (which is a spectacular trail for wonderful views of the Mer de Glace. Take the train down into Chamonix for lunch and walk back to the chalet - a simply perfect mountain day. Or a 10 min walk gets you to the other side of the valley for a hike up to Flegere and take the gondola down. And the restaurant at the golf course is probably one of the best in Chamonix and its a 10 min walk from the chalet. Just such a perfect location - far enough away from the crowds but close enough to have it if you want to try some great restaurants. The Hip team is very professional, super friendly and appear only when you need them - as you would expect. Ester is just fabulous at managing all. You should ask her what she did in the past as she is very interesting experience and you know that she could probably handle anything with ease. The chalet is in one of the nicest residential areas in Chamonix and most of the chalets there are surrounded by 2 meter high hedges which give you such a great feeling when you are out for an evening walk peaking in to see each chalet at night. We loved the location so much we rented a house down the street for 7 months! Thank you Hip! Lisa & Fred

Stunning Chalet. Spacious and well equipped

                                5 of 5
We loved this chalet and spent two weeks in it with all our extended family. The open plan top floor is a beautiful place to hang out and made evenings together a brilliant experience. All the furnishings and bathrooms are top quality and the location was perfect for us, as we could get in to the town or on tot the mountains quickly and easily. We wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend.
