Le Thor has a fine looking Romanesque Church that is well worth a visit. In addition to his there are many great places nearby such as Pernes-les-Fontaines, which features 40 ancient fountains. Only 10 kilometres from Le Thor, this village has numerous ancient buildings including 17th and 18th century town houses as well as an old church and a fortified gateway. The city of Avignon is just 20 minutes away and has many fashionable shops, restaurants and museums as well as ancient buildings. About half an hour away is the very picturesque village of Gordes, which features a 12th century abbey and a castle housing a museum of art exhibits.
