Make a holiday rental villa or gite in Le Puech, France your home away from home

Set among the Pyrenean foothills of the Herault department of Languedoc-Roussillon, a self catering Le Puech villa is the ideal place to get away from it all. History, wine and beaches always play a large role in any Le Puech holiday, but the choice is yours; you can do as much or as little as you like from a Le Puech villa.

Things to do in Le Puech, France

The area is known especially for its cuisine, especially the wine. Throughout the region, the sun-soaked mountain vineyards offer wine tasting afternoons and vineyard tours, making a Le Puech villa a real favourite with wine lovers of all levels.

It is the amazing Pyrenean landscapes and timeless atmosphere of Le Puech that really attracts visitors to Le Puech accommodation though. There are more walking, mountain biking and climbing routes than you can count running throughout the foothills, with Lake Salagou being a particularly spectacular place to visit for an afternoon in the country.

Lake Salagou is a fantastic place to spend the day, especially for families. There are a huge range of activities to enjoy, including sailing, swimming and fishing, and the adjoining nature reserve is a wonderful place to walk.

Of course, during the summer months, the Mediterranean beaches of Languedoc-Roussillon are of huge appeal. There are an infinite list of sandy beaches to visit, from the secluded to the busy water sports centres of Cap d'Agde and Vias.

Place to visit from Le Puech, France

There are more day trips available from a Le Puech villa than you could possible fit into any holiday. The towns of Montpellier, Perpignan and Beziers are the most famous places to explore from a self catering Le Puech property, but there are almost limitless numbers of ancient mountain villages and towns that will simply take your breath away. Anyone interested in exquisite food, fine wines and staggering medieval architecture will certainly be happy on any Le Puech holiday, and will no doubt return year after year to enjoy the finer things in life, for which the Herault department is world famous.

Weather in Le Puech, France

There are an astonishing 300 days of sunshine a year in Le Puech. The summer sees temperatures routinely reaching the mid 30's (C), and swimming in the sea is pleasant right through until October.

Flights to Le Puech, France

Although there are some airports within an hour and a half of a Le Puech villa, Montpellier is the most popular from which to start a Le Puech holiday. The airport is just 45km from the village, and receives direct flights from across the UK. Having the use of a hire car during your stay in Le Puech accommodation is strongly recommended so that you can truly get the most from a Le Puech villa.

Lovely, spacious, characterful bedroom and lounge. Garden was diasappointing: totally dry and dusty.

Beautifully renovated rooms in an old house conveniently situated near the centre of Pezenas. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were tastefully furnished with some lovely antiques. The large free car park nearby was convenient but access to the property on arrival was difficult - a narrow lane between buildings. The garden was nothing like the photograph and the lawn was just packed dry soil and not pleasant to sit out on. Maybe this was just because we were there at the end of a long dry summer. The owner is very friendly and helpful but doesn't speak any English at all. It would be useful to have some written information in English in the property. Also, we weren't made aware until a couple of days before we left home that we would have to pay extra for bedding. We did enjoy our stay and loved Pezenas.

Fabulous spacious house with everything we needed.

The house is well situated close to the village square with its shop, bar and pharmacy. Plenty of room for our party of five adults and nice and private at the back with its terrace, pool and garden.
