The chalet was conveniently located for shops, restaurants and ski lifts and had parking opposite. It had great views out over the lake from the terrace. It was comfortable but a little cramped with a 15 month-old who can't sit still and two sets of stairs. A few minor gripes but nothing major - a light in the bathroom didn't work and the other one kept going off for no reason, no lids for the saucepans and the gas rings were either on or off, no regulation. Shower was good, plenty of hot water when we arrived, and the heating was on. Beds were comfortable. Would use it again.
Went with my best friend. Mr. Salette was very welcoming. If you don't know any French bring aphrase book. We had great fun trying to converse with us having little French and Mr. Salette little English. The village is beautifully kept. The valley is stuning. Over the two weeks we were there the trees were gradually taking on their Autumn colours. You can walk for miles along what I think must have been old trade routes from the house. If you go to see the hot springs at Ax-les-Thermes unless you enjoy very narrow roads with hair pin bends don't go via the D25. The view was awesome but the drive scary. The house is lovely. We really enjoyed collecting wood for the wood burner. There is a small shop about 5 mins away but worth visiting a large super market on your way. There is a nice big fridge freezer in the house. We had a wonderful time. Thank you Mr Salette.
