Peaceful, beautiful stay.

5 of 5
Well equipped property with great views in charming village. The pool was great to dive into at the end of a day cycling around the area, or the river was only a 10 min walk. Star watching at night after a meal in the outdoor kitchen area was great, and the swallows and bats kept us amused during the day and early evening. The restaurant nearby was fantastic and good value. We didnt want to leave.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location

4 of 5
The cottage is located on a quiet road on the edge of the village - a short walk away from restaurants, bars and a small supermarket as well as the river which is great for swimming - but gloriously quiet and with lovely views over the valley. The house is well equipped, with a kitchen perfect for making meals from the great local produce. If you're more inclined to eat out, though, the village has a handful of good restaurants (some surprisingly busy so consider booking especially at weekends). The house has a nice terrace with a table a chairs for eating outside (although the entrance is upstairs so requires a bit of carrying up and down stairs or a short detour along the road and up through the tiered garden). The owners live near by and there's also a local agent on hand to deal with any problems and for helpful advice.
