Magical setting, exceeded expectations

5 of 5
The setting in the grounds of a beautiful chateau is very special and it was an absolute delight walking and cycling through the woodlands and gardens. Very private setting and great pool which was used daily. A warm welcome greeted our arrival and the fruit bowl and starter groceries were an unexpected, but much appreciated, surprise. Excellent communication with the owners - we would highly recommend staying here, especially if you want a relaxing break in the French countryside.

A house for everyone - Fantastic space, well equipped and well maintained.

We loved this house. We were a large group of 8 with 3 dogs and we could not have asked for a better property. The swimming pool and outdoor eating area were where we spent most of our time. As the evening cooled we would play pool or billiards or simply escape to a corner of our own to read. There is plenty of space to either entertain as a group or to find quiet time in one of the 3 reception rooms. The area is beautiful and there is plenty to see and do. We did bike rides out, normally stopping at one of the local village bars on the way back (purely to re-hydrate of course). The medieval market at Chinon is fantastic but no dogs allowed. Giseaux Chateau is great. Wine tasting in Chinon and Anjou a real treat. We would highly recommend this house.
