A lovely family holiday!

5 of 5
We spent a week at this charming and quirky Breton house in July 2013 when our daughter was competing in a sailing championships at nearby Loctudy. We were given a warm welcome by the owner and her family who went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. For example, when I reported mid-week that the washing machine had broken down, they arrived with a replacement an hour later! The house is a little way outside Loctudy though it is possible to cycle there using the bikes provided. It is very near to a wonderful sandy beach. The house has a large garden very suitable for children and plenty of parking space. We found our accommodation very clean and comfortable. It is decorated in a typical Breton way and is fully equipped for a family holiday. The shutters meant that the rooms stayed cool and comfortable when it was very hot outside. Downstairs the house has a large open plan room with kitchen, lounge area and dining space, though we loved eating outside everyday on the patio. There is a television and very good wi-fi. The bathroom has an excellent shower and there is a separate cloakroom. There is a spiral staircase up to two bedrooms and a cloakroom and an alternative staircase to the master bedroom, which can also be accessed via the bedroom with the double bed and two singles. We enjoyed an early morning coffee on the little balcony of the master bedroom. In the garage there is a table tennis table which was a big hit with the teenagers in our party! The bikes were also very popular. Cycling is easy on the flat and quiet roads. Because we spent most of our time at the sailing championships we were not able to explore everything the local area had to offer so we will need to return! The countryside is lovely and the beaches are stunning, with lovely white sand and no crowds! Loctudy is a very pleasant and friendly seaside town. Brittany has much to offer and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at this house.
