Super studio apartment in the idyllic hamlet of Le Fornet. Stayed last week in Jan 2016 – sunshine to blizzards but always comfortable in the Studio. Access to Fornet pistes or the all hours free ski bus into town both close by. Well presented apartment in a historic conversion. Excellently provisioned kitchen area and communal facilities a bonus. Some nice welcome touches provided by owner. Suitable for solo visitor or couples. Quick reply and booking confirmation from owner following initial enquiry. Availability chart were up to date and accurate. Local Le Fornet lift bar and lunch/evening at L'Arolay recommended after skiing your socks off or just strolling up to Pont St Charles. Best of both worlds with Val D’Isere centre & amenities on hand yet tranquillity & spectacular scenery surrounding the Chalet. Equally attractive all year round I imagine.

We had a great stay in this apartment. Well equipped and enormous compared to the purpose built shoe boxes you can rent for a similar price in main village. The location is perfect for those who want to ski this great ski area, but have the feeling of staying in a traditional Savoyarde village. Highly recommend.

A great stay in Le Fornet - Val D'isere

                                      4 of 5
I organised a family holiday and found the Triplex through this website. We had a wonderful time for the week. Le Fornet is a small village with 30 odd chalets about 1,5km from Val D'Isere. There are buses every 10 mns and it is a very easy trip. The chalet is lovely. There were 7 of us and we had ample room. 2 nice bedrooms and a VERY small one (very much like a small boat cabin with 3 singles). If you sleep 3 in that room make sure to leave the door open for air! Great space for the kitchen, diners and living room with a nice fire place. The chalet is the last one in the village so you will need chains or snow tyres if you want to anywhere close to it to offload your luggages....otherwise be prepared for a trek up the road. Likewise, this is not ski in ski out (but very little number of places in Val d'Isere are). Le Fornet Cable Car is a 10mns walk which for sure makes for a great warm up before you start skiing!! You can get a little bit closer on the way back through the only blue trail on the way back and cut the journey to less than 5 mns getting back to the chalet. You could ski back assuming there is enough snow and the black run through the forest is open which was not the case for us.... but irrespective it was a great place to stay at. Enough room, peaceful and really lovely. The owner was also very nice to deal with through the entire process.
