Very nice property, very enjoyable stay

4 of 5
The house is very nice and pretty well equipped. The description of the facilities is pretty accurate. Note that there is no mention of towels or bedding being provided and there is a good reason for that. The house is at least 30 mins drive from anywhere (except the village, of course). If your sat nav is planning on taking you through Soumartre, then look for a different route, especially on Sunday morning. One major reason for visiting the area is the vineyards... there are lots of them. The nearest one is Ollier-Taillfer at Fos and their wine is very good but that's not a good reason for not visiting a few other vigneron as well. The couple who own Domaine des Trinités at Roquessels are very nice and so is their wine. If you're looking for a beach Serignan Plage is only about 45 minutes away and is very nice. The Gorges D'Heric is not far away and is very nice. It's a 5km walk to the top (and another 5km back) but worth it. To summarise, we had a very enjoyable stay and we would not hesitate to go back.

A great location near a old village with a wonderful shop and bar. Great views from the garden.

The property is well located an hours drive from Montpellier and a few miles off the motorway. The property itself is tired and in need of painting inside. The bathrooms too are in need of updating. We were initially disappointed that it was dated and items were broken- the parasol and a number of light bulbs. The house layout worked well and it was lovely and cool in the heat of the day. We loved the outside space: the pool, numerous seating areas, ping pong table and the views. The local village was delightful and we enjoyed walking from the villa in the surrounding countryside. A great base too to explore further afield. There is no shortage of things to do and we could have happily spent 2 weeks in the area. We would certainly return to the area. We felt that it was expensive for the dated interior of the property.
