Fabulous villa! Everything you could want!

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful villa! We stayed for 2 weeks during the Euros and in between football matches we were able to relax around the pool and totally chill out! The villa was equipped with everything we needed and I truly cannot fault anything. Our only additional request was for some more pillows...and lo and behold...they were delivered to us the next day! The 2 bathrooms (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs) served us well, and there was a washing machine in the upper one which we found to be very handy. Bedrooms were spotless and very comfortable, as was the downstairs lounge and kitchen area. The outside areas were particularly sociable, and again catered well for our group of 8 without any problem. The swimming pool was like the icing on the cake for us - beautifully clean and well maintained by filter, and the water was even heated! The village of La Turbie was only a 5 minute drive, and it had a supermarket which although not massive, supplied us with all we needed, and next door was a bakery for all fresh bread, and a fruit and vegetable shop nearby. We also had a couple of meals out in La Turbie, and prices were reasonable and the food very good. A car is a necessity in my opinion as there is no way you would venture walking these roads...far too hilly. Once we became accustomed to the steep roads and tricky hairpin bends I can honestly say that even this did not detract from our fabulous holiday! And after all, it is located near Monaco and the whole area is mountainous by nature! From start to finish we are all agreed this was an amazing holiday in a fantastic villa. All dealings with David were happy ones and we would certainly recommend (and already have done) this villa without any hesitation! Thanks again to David for trusting us with his beautiful holiday home! We would be more than happy to come again!

Easy access to Monaco, 5 min. to Le Port or train station. A quiet, clean place to rejuvenate.

My stay started off with a warm welcome from my host Aline and her husband. They had everything ready and even offered to help carry my luggage from my car. The studio is perfectly designed to utilize every space available to make it easy to enjoy. I especially liked the murphy bed which was easy to store during the day when I wanted more space. And the AC was fabulous for a couple of the days when it was hot and humid. :) It is quiet and private allowing you to rejuvenate. The WIFI works really well which was important due to work and needing to participate in Skype calls. The LOCATION is super. The elevators that take you down to the train station or the Port, are just down the street making it easy to enjoy Monaco. Monaco bus #2 & #3 stops right out front the Azur coffee shop, and Boulangerie Patisserie and pharmacy are right outside. There is also the Jardin Exotique Parking that is available up the street. Aline also kindly accommodated my schedule and I was able to extend my stay by several days. Aline definitely takes pride in her studio and I would for sure come back again!

                                    OVERLOOKING MONACO

                                    4 of 5
Well not quite but there are great view of Monaco on the windy road up from La Turbie to the House. The House is very spacious, well appointed and has a great hillside terrace and pool. The owner very quickly attended to our few minor concerns [a little more bedding and a DVD player] and could not have been more helpful. Altogether a terrific place. The only downside is its proximity to the nearest shops which are in La Turbie. Only a 5 -10 min drive but it would be a long walk along a road which could be pretty hazardous for pedestrians. However La Turbie has all you might need [except ample parking] and is a very interesting little town. For those who don't mind a bit of a hike there is a great circular walk from the house up to Peille, down to Peillon and back. Its about 8 miles and both villages, especially Peillion, are French hillside classics. This is not a place for the nervous or inexperienced driver but if hairpins don't phase you, I could not recommend this place more highly and at risk of shooting myself in the foot for a possible future visit, it was exceptionally good value for money.
