Wonderfully relaxing week in an idyllic setting

5 of 5
We spent a week here and absolutely loved it. It's the perfect place to switch off and wind down. Clive and Beverley are excellent hosts, and we were very grateful for the welcome package (milk etc.) and the lettuce and potatoes from the garden. The saltwater pool is fabulous and the grounds are just beautiful, as is the surrounding countryside. We'd definitely return!

Idyllic Frech gite amongst rolling green hills

5 of 5
Sylvie couldn't be more helpful. She was friendly, enthusiastic and very accommodating - especially with out inability to speak French. The house is beautiful and old with wooden beam and a good terrace for eating meals and catching some sun. Around the estate are some very peaceful woodland trails to walk the dog. The only minor improvement I would suggest is that the photos are rationalised a little. We were confused by the photos and what apartment we were staying in. When we got there we were in the property with wood detail, however the one to the left of this review is the converted barn that is part of the homes Sylvie stays in (with the awning, and no wood detail). Finally, booking through HomeAway was not an enjoyable experience; not only do you pay a fee but the two-stage payment system caused complications which their customer support did not even attempt to resolve. Sylvie was very helpful and we fixed it when we arrived, though it should have been easier. I would suggest you book direct - the house is listed on Google Maps, for instance.
