  • Great cycling weekend!

We found Michel's house very easily thanks to the instruction Michel provided. The house was very clean and modernised to a very good standard. It had a great basement where we could store our bicycles when we weren't out riding. The location of the house is close to Le Bourg-d'Oisans which is a nice lively town with plenty of bars and cafes. On arrival it would have been nice to have some sort of refreshments in the house i.e. tea and coffee after the long drive from Geneva. We would definitely use Michel's house again next time we want to climb Alp D'Huez and the surrounding mountains.

  • Good, but not great...
4 of 5 apartment itself is much smaller than photos show, so I don't think it is suitable for 5 people, as the 5th person will have to sleep on the mattress pulled out from underneath of the bottom bunk bed. Speaking of sleeping arrangements, another downside was the lack of a proper sofa in the lounge. One person sleeps on the top part of the sofa from the photos and the second will have to sleep on the pulled out part, which was a big surprise and real downside for the pairs wanted to share a bed. I think apartment's owner should think it through before furnishing this apartment. On the positive note, kids had their own "den", appliances installed in this apartment were very useful for self-catering stay and throw of the stone distance to Jandri gondola leading onto glacier. Overall, I would not stay in this particular apartment again, due to "lounge-sofa-issue", but definitely would consider the same building, even though on some evenings there was much noise coming from different apartments, where people had sit downs, but then again, if one would really had a proper day on the slopes, it wouldn't bother to fall asleep. No issue with agency, but a small tip, book directly with them, if you want to save on HomeAway's commission ;-)
