Make A Holiday Rental Gite in La Chaume, France, Your Home Away From Home

Surrounded by rolling countryside and forests is the small village of La Chaume in Burgundy. If you are looking to step down a gear and take a relaxing break, then a holiday in La Chaume is just for you. Of course, there are no high rise hotels blighting the scenery in this area, and instead, a holiday rental gite in La Chaume is the preferred choice of accommodation. Tastefully decorated, well furnished and coming with all mod cons, it is more a home away from home than anything else.

Things to Do on Holiday in La Chaume, France

Although one of the attractions of a holiday in la Chaume is the relaxed way of life, you may like to do some sort of activities whilst there. There are cycle and foot paths which link the village with others, and you can also cycle along the quiet country lanes for miles. The Loire River is not far away, and here you can hire a canoe, or try your hand at fishing. For other activities such as tennis or golf, head to nearby Dijon.

Places to Visit on Holiday in La Chaume, France

There are many castles or chateaux in various states of repair scattered throughout the area, and they are certainly worth visiting. Another idea for a trip out is to take a tour of a vineyard. Burgundy is obviously well known for its wines, and by taking a tour, you would have the chance to learn a little more about it, and of course try a glass or two! If you fancy a change from the calm surroundings of your self catering accommodation in La Chaume then visit the nearby city of Dijon, with its centuries’ old architecture, restaurants and shops.

Wonderful

Where to start with Les Pommiers ? From the outset booking was easy and Nicola & Nick were so helpful and friendly, answering my many questions quickly and in detail. The house itself is fantastic, and if anything bigger than the pictures would have you believe. It is warm & welcoming and really well equipped. We were lucky enough to be able to enjoy an early evening BBQ one night but other times were spent at the large table enjoying large family prepared meals which is an invaluable experience. The garden is beautiful and full of interesting nooks and crannies but still able to be enjoyed by children & adults alike. As a family from ages 8-82, including three teenagers, we all loved our stay here. The house is spacious enough for a party to be able to enjoy their own space but also to come together socially. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here and the effort that Nicola & Nick have put into this house is obvious and creates a distinct feeling of 'home' and relaxation as soon as you walk through the door. We will be back !

What a wonderful house in the French countryside

5 of 5
We stayed here for a few days en route to the French Alps and also a few days en route coming back. We could not have chosen a better house to stay in, it was comfortable, made you feel at home and was lovely and clean. The garden was perfect for our dog, completely enclosed so no worry about him getting out, lovely country walks straight from the door which was a real bonus. The house has been beautifully renovated and the 2 sided wood burner between the living and dining room was a fantastic feature which made for cosy relaxing evenings drinking wine and eating good food. Charlotte, the owner was ab fab and a real joy to deal with, communication with her was amazing, immediate responses. Would not hesitate to come back here again or to recommend it to anyone else.
