The romantic crunch of the pea gravel driveway slows you as you drive up to the darling entry. You open the door to the gite and it takes your breath away. The stunning interior, curated to every last beautiful detail. Every comfort, every luxury. And if that isn’t enough, you have Ali & Greg, the most passionate and caring hosts. On our arrival from a long drive from Paris we had not only all the makings to stay in for a light supper, but breakfast including eggs from their own hens for the morning. Sweets too! Lotions, soaps, linen sheets, wool carpets & throws, candles, Bluetooth speaker, electric bed warmers to ensure cozy comfort. Fully equipped kitchen, so pretty! So, so special, I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is. We loved going out to explore the gorgeous Dordogne (with tips and insider info from Ali & Greg of course) during the day, and retreating to our haven for sunset on the terrace and a lovely evening in the beautiful gite. We’d be out on an adventure and need some help, Ali was always there, just a text away - what a lifeline! Outstanding, 5 stars is not enough. Oh and Saffie & Moto get extra points for being super hosts and dog kisses! (Polite of course) We will be back. Top top marks. Don’t hesitate if you are thinking of booking, unless it’s when we want to go back! Lol.

  • The studio, which is large and generally well-equipped, is in a great location, with glorious views.

We loved our time in the studio - the views from the studio and the garden are glorious, constantly changing and always lovely. The studio is clean, airy and spacious. We did miss a proper oven (as I love to cook the local produce the provided combi microwave and convention oven wasn't really enough for me) and my husband (who does the dishes) missed a dishwasher. However, everything else was great, the owners are delightful and couldn't be more helpful and the location really central for lots of exploring. There aren't nearby shops, so you do have to be a bit organised, but there are some excellent local markets and Perigueux is not far. We were there for 3 weeks and did a lot of cycling (we had our own bikes), exploring, walks and just sitting around admiring the view and reading. Highly recommended
