Feel fortunate to have spent time in this immaculately kept home from home. Simply perfect.

We wanted a very peaceful, clean, dog safe holiday home, that we could take our teenagers to and enjoy and relax together as a family. This beautiful spacious home is more than that. Its idyllic setting is a wonderful backdrop to this immaculate home, with the trees encasing the property. A Completely fenced in garden, allowed our dog to have good runs and enjoy the open, well kept grounds, safely. The pool is perfectly placed, large enough to properly swim in lovely warm water. Loved our evening bbq's, made full use of the table tennis and badminton. The neighbours we met seemed very chatty and friendly. Gracay the local village has a wonderful quirky feel, worth exploring, with wonderful local art work. We had some great days out visiting Chambord (Chateau), Bourges (Lovely big shopping town), Briare (aqueduct), Magny-Cours (race track). Inside the property, the large open, modern, kitchen and dining area appears newly fitted, exceptionally clean, and easy to keep clean with full use of utensils and equipment. The down stairs shower and bathroom is easy to access from the garden after a swim. The reception hallway leads to the lounge. Decorated beautifully, comfortable and lots of room for us all to sit. Had use of the TV and a wide selection of dvd's. Our bedroom/sitting room led from the lounge. Great to have our own space in this bright bedroom that had patio doors leading to the front, and big windows opening up to the garden at the back, with ample room for clothes, we also had a sink and wash area. Both our children loved their rooms, both adequately equipped and spacious. The upstairs shower room meant we didn't live 'under each others feet'. We were able to really feel at home, and although we had days out, it often was a pull to leave the property, and we were all keen to return in the evening. But my favourite days were the ones spent at this lovely home, quietly laying by the pool and just enjoying my family. Jeanette and Paul, are an extremely kind friendly couple, that clearly went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful holiday.

Lignieres is a lovely town and this cottage is very comfy and only 2 mins from the market square

This is the second time we have stayed here in this cottage in Lignieres, it is very good quality, clean and comfortable. The owners Julie and Nicole are lovely, helpful but not intrusive. The cottage is situated an easy 2 minute walk to the bars, restaurants, shops and market square of this pretty little town on a river. The town is in a great situation to explore the area. We visited beautiful cathedral and churches, saw lots of wildlife on the way to other pretty towns around, went to a couple of brocantes, did a bit of shopping etc.etc. We were a bit limited this time with an 80 year old dad in tow but found plenty to do for our 5 day stay, and enjoyed a couple of late evenings out too, yes there is a bit of life in this small town in the evenings too. There are other activities in the area such as canoeing and cycling. Maybe we will try some of those activities next time and there will definitely be a next time.
