Make a Holiday Rental Villa in Isolella, France, Your Home Away From Home

The picturesque settlement of Isolella is located on a peninsula of land in the west of the French island of Corsica. This is only a short drive south from the main city on Corsica, Ajaccio. If you choose to spend your holidays in Isolella, you really will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds: on the one hand you will be in a very tranquil and unspoilt part of Corsica, yet you will be within striking distance of the main city and all of the popular attractions on offer. Hotels are fewer and farther between in this part of Corsica, instead, self catering accommodation in Isolella seems to be a much more popular choice and all properties will be equipped to a very high standard.

Things to Do on Holiday in Isolella, France

The coast of Corsica offers people on their holidays in Isolella no end of fantastic beaches to enjoy. This will allow you and the members of your travelling party to get involved in activities such as snorkelling, scuba diving, swimming, sunbathing, rock-pooling, jet skiing (at some of the larger tourist beaches), deep-sea fishing and sailing. Enjoy some scenic and tranquil walks along the coast and inland and there is also the possibility to enjoy cycling, mountain biking and horse riding. Other activities include golf, abseiling, canoeing and kayaking, tennis and jogging.

Places to Visit on Holiday in Isolella, France

There are many pretty and quintessentially Corsican fishing villages to visit along this coast of the island and it is always a good idea to have access to your own hire car for the duration of your stay. Of course, though, the main tourist destination in this neck of the woods is likely to be Ajaccio. Napoleon Bonaparte has a huge link with Corsica and you can learn more about this through attractions such as The National Museum of the Napoleon Bonaparte Residence. Other attractions to see include The Musee Fesch, Place de Gaulle and check out the charming Petit Train d’Ajaccio.

Weather in Isolella, France

A glorious Mediterranean climate awaits you on your holidays in Isolella. This means that temperatures remain mild throughout the whole year and summers can become very warm indeed at times. Averages ranges from the low-teens degrees Celsius in winter and rise to the high-twenties degrees in summer. Rainfall measures around 21 inches per year in this part of Corsica.

Travel to Isolella, France

The best way to travel to the self catering accommodation in Isolella is to book your flights to Ajaccio-Napoleon Bonaparte Airport (AJA). Easyjet operates a direct flight to this airport from London Gatwick (LGW). At the airport, it might be a good idea to arrange to collect a hired car which you could keep for the duration of your holidays in Isolella.

"Our weeks stay at your house was wonderful. The welcome we got on arrival was so warm and Mde Buresi was so helpful and kind. The house is beautiful and we felt completely at home and relaxed there, it was as if we were staying in a friend's home. Our children did not want to leave. We have stayed in lots of houses over the years for our holidays and this was by far our favourite for the feeling of 'home from home'."
