Good clean property, well located.

5 of 5
Booking process and info very easily attained. Very close to the rear entrance to the castle and to the airport bus stop. Lovely river and country walks close by and easy to get into the new city over the bridge. Some shops and restaurants close by although only open Fri and Sat out of season. Property was clean and spacious with lots of extra bedding and towels if needed. The small courtyard at the rear with table and chairs was lovely for reading and coffee when the sun shone. Everything that we needed was there. Excellent property.

Fab location, Fab Host's

5 of 5
Reflecting back on our truly wonderful holiday last year. (We've been meaning to sit down and write this since then). It was June and the weather was perfect. Wendy and John really pulled out all the stops, as we thought they went above and beyond, what we'd expect from our holiday host's, in this most beautiful region of France. The Gite was just acouple of mins walk to the Lock on the Canal, which could be seen from our 1st fl Lounge window. The rooms were fresh and clean with everything we expected. There were also Bikes which we made good use of. We both hadn't rode in years, and as we were not too energetic, riding the flat tow paths were just what the doctor ordered for our leisurely afternoons out. Once at the Lock it was a sort 8 to 10 min walk into Homps with some lovely Bars and Restaurants. Many a beautiful evening was spent, lazerly sipping a glass or two of Red watching the Boats go by. During the day we'd go off exploring then finish at Wendy's well kept pool. Some evenings would start by sitting in Wendy and John's exquisitely well kept garden eating our own selection of Olives, Cheese and Wine before walking down to Homps. Thank you both we had a fab time. We'd recomend this place to anyone. We'll be back Mike & Jan Buxton

Lovely property, fantastic location

5 of 5
We stayed for 16 nights in September 2016. As there were just 2 of us, we stayed in the smaller property - Gite Minervois. The accommodation was lovely and exceptionally well equipped, including a torch that we could use at night as we strolled back along the canal after lovely meals in local restaurants! Wendy was very welcoming and helpful. The information folder provided re local attractions, restaurants etc was excellent and it became our bible! The location is beautiful. We were surrounded by vineyards and were able to watch the grapes being harvested from just outside the property. There are lovely places to visit on foot, by bikes (which were provide) and by car. With the exception of 2-3 days, the weather was beautiful. Our only small disappointment re accommodation was that as our accommodation was up a stairs, we had no immediate access to an outdoor space (terrace, balcony). Overall, we were delighted with the experience and no have hesitation in recommending it.
