  • A perfect little base camp to explore a beautiful and interesting area.

Cottage Sword Beach is lovely. Perfectly appointed and in a great position to explore the surrounding beaches and museums. The rest of the site is ecclectic, but it is obviously a work in progress with other cottages being built. The owner and her son are friendly and attentive - yet leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace without any disturbances. Had a wonderful time.

  • A great, quiet beach location

We had a lovely week at Hermanville sur mer. We were met by Sylviane who was lovely from start to finish. The town itself was rather quiet, although this suited us as we went out cycling each day. The house was lovely and accommodated a family of 8 well, although the lounge seating wasn't quite adequate for a group of our size. The garden was a very generous size, with parking for two vehicles off the road within the grounds: we had problems with the electric gates which meant they needed manually locking and unlocking.... Not a huge problem though! Juno beach was a short car ride away and the cycle paths from the beach were first class. As property manager, Sylviane was incredibly helpful, even offering to drive to the port as we were waiting to board the ferry in order to hand over medication we had left behind, a truly lovely lady.
