Good value for the price.

Apart from the outside table/chairs which needed a clean, the place was very clean on arrival. The gite is finished and furnished to a good standard. It's relatively small – as is the outside sitting area – but it had everything we needed. The owners provided a nice 'welcome pack'; they were pleasant and responded quickly to the occasional request we made. Good value for the price.

A well equipped gite in a tranquil, rural location with a large heated pool and friendly owners.

Mark and Michelle have made this property a home from home. The kitchen was ideal for self catering with all you could wish for to create meals using lovely local ingredients. There were two spacious bedrooms and we enjoyed the view from our balcony over the fields. Having two well equipped bathrooms was ideal for two couples. There was a generous sitting and dining area and plenty of games and DVD,s to borrow as well as a table tennis table, toys for the pool and a BBQ, ideal for families. The house was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed sitting by the pool listening to bird song and being watched over by the cat and the chickens. This area of France is ideal if you are looking for peace and quiet. The nearby village of Lussac Les Eglises has a Spar shop selling fruit and veg, it has a delicatessen counter and fresh meat. There is also a post office and bakers. We enjoyed visiting the many local towns and villages as well as Limoges (best avoided on a Sunday as nothing is open)We also had an overnight stay at La Rochelle and enjoyed the contrast between coast and countryside. Mark and Michelle were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the fresh eggs and cherries they provided. Thank you both for a lovely holiday.
