Cosy, comfortable cottage in quiet village with a good restaurant just down the road

5 of 5
We had a great relaxing stay ... and because of the location in centre of Brittany we were able to explore both north and south coasts! Cottage was comfortable with everything you could need for a lovely weeks stay . We were out of season for all the nearby lake activities but there would be a lot on offer for the summer months at the nearby lake - we were happy with the scenery !! The nearby village/town of Murs de Bretagne had a supermarket and a charming butcher who supplied 'poulet roti' and salads and cooked food but also the nearby restaurant was excellent (auberge de Guerledan) with very pleasant hosts We would like to thank Lesley for a relaxing stay and hope to be back again soon!

Perfect location & perfect hosts!

5 of 5
We had a perfect family holiday at Penderff, and as echoed in the other reviews, Judith and Jeremy were perfect hosts. They were happy to help, give advice and suggestions where to visit, but didn't spoil the privacy of a much needed quiet break. Our children aged 14 and 11 were made to feel welcome, loved the immaculately clean pool, the well stocked games room, and having a paddle on the little lake. The surrounding meadows and river were just stunning and made for a lovely early morning/evening walks. An easy walk to the boulangerie in nearby Lignol was made more special catching a glimpse of a kingfisher. The gite was centrally located for many of the various sights Brittany has to offer, beaches, the nearby lake, coastal towns, and not far from larger cities such as Quimper. Judith provided us with many recommendations of where to visit off the beaten track, not found in the guide books. Excellent, clean accommodation with a lovely display of flowers in the baskets and tubs. We would not hesitate to return one day. Thank you again xx
