  • Clean, quiet compact apartment with the benefit of a little garden too

    In a quiet residential area, not great for public transport but easy to reach by car and plenty of on-street parking nearby. We were able to find a space in the secure parking behind the building on 3 of the 4 nights we were there anyway. The flat was just as depicted, spotlessly clean and suited us (family of four) perfectly. There is zero noise from neighbours and, apart from a bit of drifting cigarette smoke, the mini-garden is also ideal for warm evenings – quiet and well away from traffic noise or fumes. There's a nice little boulangerie in easy walking distance but we gave the convenience store next to it a wide berth after finding maggots in its goat's cheese and getting an underwhelming response from its manager (first, denial, then a replacement, also maggoty, then a hopeful "mais c'est normal"...). Mickael was helpful and communicative and very polite even when we got stuck in the rush-hour traffic crossing the city on arrival and took a lot longer to get there than anticipated. If parking in the secure car park, make sure you don't do what we very nearly did on departure, which is to lock the set of keys inside the flat as instructed while you still need the fob to open the parking gates to get the car out! We would definitely recommend this property :-)
