  • Charming house in a great location

We had a wonderful vacation in this charming village home. The village itself is in a lovely location on the edge of the lake, complete with a Romanesque-style church, an 18th Century oil mill and a Grande Fontaine . There are bars/restaurants in the village, and a good selection of shops and a market nearby in Aups. There is a small beach and water sports rentals are possible in the summer. There are plenty of hiking trails nearby, and GR99 passes through the village. Les Gorges du Verdon are also nearby. The house itself is charming. Very nicely decorated with lovely decorative touches throughout. The terrace on the top floor is a great place to relax at the end of the day and watch the setting sun. All the bedrooms are a very good size. The lounge also has plenty of comfortable seating as well as a good variety of entertainment options. The kitchen has everything you could need to cater for the whole family. There is plenty of parking throughout the village. You can drive up to the front door to drop off or pick up heavy items, though you really won't have to walk very far. We wish we had been able to stay for longer, the house, the village, the area were just right for a perfect break. Celine and her family were wonderful hosts, answering all our questions and coming up with useful suggestions for things we could do, we hope to be able to return very soon.

  • Delightful property if you wish to really get away from it all. Very quiet.

Typical French property. Lovely outside sitting areas with a fab fresh water pool. The owners are delightful people and made us very welcome. Really beautiful area. Cotignac is a lovely place to visit, but too far to walk for an evening out. We loved the villa and would go back again.
