wonderful

I stayed here with my young folks 19, 21 and 23 with their friends. We had the the most wonderful, enjoyable and restful two weeks at this lovely house in such a lovely rural location whilst not really being far off the 'beaten 'track. The numerous en suites and bathrooms and living areas made life easy. We have had numerous stays in various cottages gates etc in France over the years and we all felt this was probably the best. Everything seems to have been thought of and catered for including lots of useful information and helpful tips. I enjoyed watching the wildlife especially the golden oriel flitting to and from the fig tree below the pool and the red squirrel was spotted although personally I did not manage to see that one! Thanks Mike and Debbie.

Exactly as lovely as it looks

This is a lovely, good-sized property in great condition with a well appointed kitchen - huge fridge, coffee machine, and all the utensils you will need. The pool is a further away from the house and is also bigger than it looks online. Our teenage kids spent most of their time in the pool, but there was also plenty of space to play badmington and frisbee - the garden is huge. The property is located up in the hills above the plains where Carcassonne is located. We did the big shopping there and then topped up on bread locally day to day. The boulangerie in Montelieu was open on Sunday but not Monday. The house is remote and peaceful - part of its appeal for us. It was really hot so we didn't walk as much as we thought we would! The beds were comfy and we slept well when we weren't out looking at all the stars we could see in the pitch black nights. The property has good wifi and British TV for evening entertainment. We felt quite at home and had a wonderful time.
