The house and surrounding area is beautiful. The house is being renovated to a very high standard and is very well equipped including a plentiful supply of lovely towels and bedding. The bedrooms are very spacious and with the extra sitting area upstairs there is plenty of room for everyone. There is plenty to do around Belan, including visiting Chatillon sur Seine, you must see The Vase of Vix and if you fancy further afield Chablis is lovely and has a great market on a Sunday morning. The cremant and champagne villages that are nearby are a must and for the children Nigloland (about 45 min drive) is always a good day out. The restaurant in Belan, La Marmite, is very very good, with the meat being cooked on an open fire in the restaurant, definitely worth a visit. We will be back, thanks again Julia.

                                      Good for exploring by bike

Surprisingly spacious cottage in a small town complete with well stocked Spar and two boulangeries. Very comfortable inside. Tastefully decorated and well fitted out with everything we needed. Extremely quiet. Very good communication with helpful owner. Excellent centre for cycling and exploring. Rolling hills, woods, villages that time forgot, exceptionally quiet roads, Canal de Bourgogne and a gaggle of delightful champagne villages all within easy reach by bike, though a surfeit of wheat (for all those millions of baguettes) becomes boring. Despite the super-hot Canicule, we enjoyed a pleasant and interesting week.

Relaxing break in Laignes Cote D'or, Burgundy

                                      5 of 5
We had a lovely relaxing stay at this lovely farmhouse in August 2014. The house is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The house is spacious with plenty room for small or large parties. The kitchen is very well equipped for any indoor cooking you may do. The outside area is spacious and private and very pretty with lots of flowers and plants and ideal for outside eating. The friendly owners are around to welcome you and offer advice and directions but do not intrude at all on your stay. I would recommend this holiday let and would definitely stay here again.
