  • Imaginatively converted spacious barn in a peaceful part of the Dordogne

We really enjoyed our holiday at Les Cerisiers (The Cherry Trees). The property is spacious, tastefully furnished and has everything one needs to make it a home from home. It occupies a large plot and is very peaceful. The owners Neil and Helen live next door which is really helpful as they are able to provide top tips about places of interest nearby. The weather was superb - it was ideal to have a pool to cool off in. Kayaking on the Dordogne is a must as is a visit to one of the many local markets. The evening market in Duras was a particular highlight with a superb selection of food and local produce. If you want a meal for a special occasion visit the Hostellerie Les Ducs in Duras - fantastic food, immaculately presented with a very relaxed ambience.

Kind and helpful owners who live next door made us very welcome in their property , which was comfortable and well equipped for a family holiday The house was cool, which was much needed to escape the daily temperature of 30 c outside ! Pleasant private area for sunbathing and BBQ and a small swimming pool which was perfect for a dip and cool off. Beautiful area surrounded by vineyards and plenty of places to visit
