Lovely house in fantastic seafront location

We spent a great two week holiday in this superb house, right on the sea front. The ideal holiday house , a very large open lounge and a large modern well equipped kitchen and separate utility room. The whole house is modern and very well equipped not only with essentials but also with children's toys, bikes, fishing gear for "fishing on foot" etc. We were six adults and two children aged 6 and 3 and we all had a great time. The house is in a great position right on the sea front and it was great to sit in the garden with a glass or two of wine and watch the changing scene as the tide changed and the people came on to the exposed rocks to collect oysters and other seafood, "la peche a pied",a fascinating sight. All the equipment for fishing on foot is provided including the wire baskets, hammers, rakes, shrimp nets and most importantly a good selection of Wellington Boots! The house is in a quiet area on the outskirts of Penerf a nice small town of character. There are two excellent restaurants with bars and a good Pizzeria all within walking distance, either by road or the coast path. Penerf oysters are quite famous and there are several producers in Penerf where you can buy or eat with a glass of Muscadet. The area is ideal for cycling with safe and flat cycle tracks, the bikes were a great success with both adults and children. One can easy cycle to Damgan, about 3Km, which is busier and has good beaches, or go about 2Km further to Kervoyal which has some restaurants including an excellent creperie/restaurent L' Ecurie, recommended. The wider area is good to explore with good beaches, castles, interesting towns and places to eat and drink. This was one of the best family holidays that we have had helped of course by the good weather. Highly recommended. We hope to return.
