  • A lovely nineteenth century apartment with a wonderful view and wonderful hosts.

This splendid apartment is located right on the Promenade Des Anglais with an excellent view over the Mediterranean, out of the centre of Old Nice. It is very well served by buses (including from the Nice Ville station), with a stop almost right outside the building; a bus ride to Old Nice takes 10-15 minutes depending on time of day and traffic; alternatively, a brisk walk along the Promenade - highly recommended - takes 30-40 minutes. An excellent boulangerie is a 5 minute walk away. The apartment itself has been very nicely refurbished, with a comfortable dining/sitting room, spacious bedrooms, a bathroom with brilliant shower, and a really well-equipped kitchen. Thoughtful touches are everywhere, including various provisions on arrival and beach towels. We received a most warm welcome from Catherine and her husband. She was very attentive to questions then and later in our stay. Most generously, Catherine's husband drove us and our friend separately to the station, the latter quite early in the morning. We would definitely return. Highly recommended.

  • A truly delightful property with great views

The Secret House doesn't disappoint! Tucked behind another building in the heart of Nice Old Town it really is a secret house, although it has stunning and extensive views from the balcony over Nice. The house is over three floors with two good sized bedrooms, both en-suite and a lovely top floor kitchen/sitting room with doors out to the balcony. The décor is stylish and contemporary and the house is very well equipped. Our communications with Erica were excellent throughout and we thought the house was very good value and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to other travellers. We really felt that we were staying in authentic Nice, the house is very quiet yet you are just a short walk to the magnificent castle grounds and the old town. Monoprix supermarket is a short walk away as is the tram system and the Airport bus. We ate in the old town every night and there are loads of really good restaurants to choose from. We loved our stay!
