Senlis is a town just 10 kilometres away with a fine medieval cathedral and the remains of a Roman amphitheatre. Park Asterix is France’s second most famous theme park and is just 20 minutes from Chantilly. Visitors can take a short trip to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe and numerous other attractions in the capital city, which should only take just half an hour to reach by car.

The climate in this part of France is similar to Southern England with the warmest months normally July and August and the coldest December to February. Average high temperatures in Oise are about 22 degrees centigrade in July and August. In January the average high is five degrees centigrade, but temperatures can fall below zero in winter.
