Absolutely stunning, everything it promises

5 of 5
I can't say enough good things about this house in Sassagny, it is everything the owners promise. They are fantastically accommodating, everything is provided. You have access to a wonderful indoor pool which was a lifesaver in the soaring temperatures! The house itself is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and beautifully presented. The views from the terrace are spectacular and the grounds offer plenty of shaded seating areas to socialise, eat and drink. For day-to-day supplies the house is about 20 kilometers from a large town with a hypermarket but there are smaller villages with good local shops and a smaller supermarket within 10-15 mins drive. It is also well placed for visiting many towns and villages that boast medieval castles and 17th century chateaus - the whole area is stunning, unspoilt and of course lots of places to taste and buy the wonderful Burgundy wines! The owners are lovely people, communicative and helpful and made us feel very welcome - thank you!

Loads of character and a delicious breakfast

5 of 5
This is a lovely old house with two double beds - one on the gallery outside the main bedroom. Modern bathroom, loads of character - duck to avoid the low bedroom beams! A very small kitchen but a delicious breakfast was provided outdoors.
