Firstly the house was lovely, had everything you could need. Pool lovely, view lovely, weather....not so good but got better as the week went on. When the sun was out, we spent most of the time outside by the pool, at the table or just looking at the view. Very easy rental procedure. Fridge broke down while we were there and this was dealt with very quickly by Wendy so we were assured that any problems, would not be a problem! Explored local restaurants. Without doubt the Cafe des Halles in Montboyer was worth every penny, 16 euros for a three course meal for example and great service. Dog friendly as well. However if you have the money and need entertaining, go to the Chateau Chalais restaurant. Surreal surroundings, eclectic food and eccentric owner. Fawlty Towers french style. All in all we had a great time and would recommend a stay at this lovely property.

It was a wonderful stay, beautiful home, very comfortable, fully equipped made it a blissed to stay, we enjoyed the extras like the games room, outside bbq facilities and uk tv channels. The private pool was amazing, it was a good size and very clean. Helene and and her husband were very welcoming and helpful. This was a relaxing holiday for us and apart from visiting Saint-Emilion and wine vineyards we didn't do many other activities however there were loads of other options near by if you wanted a more active holiday.

                                    Enchanting and Delightful Property

La Foix is an enchanting spot to enjoy a relaxing and recharging break. We stayed at Le Pigeonnier for 10 days in late May, and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The owners have furnished the cottage beautifully, and all our comforts were catered for - great beds and bed linens, fully equipped kitchen The sitting room is the perfect spot to relax with a great book when the weather doesn't cooperate, with great views, a lovely stove adding to ambience, and two wonderfully comfy sofas. The property was beautifully prepared for our arrival. with an exceptionally thoughtful welcome basket and a lovely bottle of rosé chilling in the fridge! Every detail has been thought of to ensure a high level of comfort. Le Pigennier is a magical romantic little hideaway, with the great feeling of seclusion, while being close to everything you need; a great artisan boulangerie in Montboyer, and nice restaurants in the nearby villages. We travelled with two small dogs, and we all enjoyed beautiful walks each day. None of us wanted to leave! We will be back for sure!
