We had a wonderful holiday in a beautiful and dynamic town, staying in a stylish, very French and extremely comfortable appartment. All our needs were catered for and, coincidentally, the owner was staying in the lower appartment so was able to give us lots of helpful information and advice

Character-full villa with spacious, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and 3 delightful bedrooms, all with glorious, ever-changing views of Mt. Cannigou. Brilliant, good-sized heated (28 degree) pool where we swam morning, afternoon and night, entertained by sounds of owls and a donkey! Our hosts, Peter and Lisa, were most helpful and obliging throughout our 2 week stay; no request was too much trouble for them.We had some lovely days out at Argeles sur mer (the main beach near the port was excellent and uncrowded, with an adequate beach bar and a good choice of restaurants around the port.) Colliure was very photogenic -(tip:- Go to Port Vendre, where parking is easy and free, take a ferry to Colliure and return on the little train - a 40 minute journey through the hills with breathtaking views of the coast.). A highlight for us was the 50 minute drive to Figueras in Spain, where we visited the spectacular Salvador Dali museum. Walks down the hill to Ceret were enjoyable though the uphill return less so! However, on the hottest day of our fortnight, Peter appeared a t the bottom of the hill in his SUV and ferried us home; what timing! All in all, a great holiday in a fine house with brilliant hosts. Only one problem, two weeks was about a month too short! Vic, Stephanie, Peter and Jackie.
