A beautiful big house in a small village surrounded by peaceful countryside.

The facilities at the house were excellent - plenty of kitchen equipment and crockery etc. ideal for cooking for a large group. The bathrooms were well fitted and obviously newly renovated. The garden was a lovely setting for barbecues and al fresco eating and the good weather made this possible every evening of our stay. The pool was used by everyone and we really appreciated all the extra towels and poolside seating provided. The owners were very cooperative and friendly. We would love to go back again if time allows!

Perfect situation, well equipped, lovely owners!

We watched the house taking shape, Cedric sent us pictures of before and afterwards, and we booked before the pool was in, but he didn't let us down! The house stays remarkably cool, even when it is 35 degrees outside, due to its location halfway up the side of a hill. The views are amazing, but it 's position is so secluded, if you were looking for the place to get an all over tan this would be it! Everything you could need is in the house, and the air con, which we only used at night, is so quiet you really cannot hear it. Each bedroom has its own shower room and separate loo, so no bathroom queues. The pool is about a metre or so deep all over, there is no shallow end, so not for tiny children, but it is well fenced off. It's situation means lots of wild life, waking to bird song, rabbits in the morning, deer later in the day, though you will be lucky to see these, the crickets are deafening, and to my shock a grass snake shot out of the hedge by the kitchen, was panicked by the sight of us and quickly disappeared, we did not see it again. Tarn et Garonne is a bit like an English Cotswolds, but hillier. There are great local markets, hilltop medieval towns, canoeing in the rivers and great walking country. There are a couple of supermarkets at Negrepelisse where you can stock up on everything you need, and many local restaurants, can particularly recommend Gorges D'Aveyron in Montricoux. Cedric and Maeva are very responsive hosts, and there very quickly if you have a problem (we had a shower tray that didn't drain, and was sorted within hours). Thank you for giving us such a special holiday!
