Cosy, comfortable cottage in quiet village with a good restaurant just down the road

5 of 5
We had a great relaxing stay ... and because of the location in centre of Brittany we were able to explore both north and south coasts! Cottage was comfortable with everything you could need for a lovely weeks stay . We were out of season for all the nearby lake activities but there would be a lot on offer for the summer months at the nearby lake - we were happy with the scenery !! The nearby village/town of Murs de Bretagne had a supermarket and a charming butcher who supplied 'poulet roti' and salads and cooked food but also the nearby restaurant was excellent (auberge de Guerledan) with very pleasant hosts We would like to thank Lesley for a relaxing stay and hope to be back again soon!

Great house in lovely location

5 of 5
This property is located in the middle of the Brittany countryside and is an ideal spot for touring. However it is also near a lake with all the facilities you would expect to find at a resort. The village has a fantastic restaurant and there are two bakers and a supermarket only a few minutes drive away. The owner has provided indoor and outdoor toys and games and the large garden means there is plenty of room to play. Also a barbecue and great weather ensured we ate outside. This property has 4 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and an additional downstairs toilet. There were 8 of us including 2 children and there was plenty of space for us all without feeling on top of each other. It is helpful if you speak some French as the owner does not speak any. We got by but it was difficult. You will need to provide your own bed linen and towels and toilet paper. We would however be tempted to return.
