An exceptional house in peaceful setting

5 of 5
We were delighted with and impressed by this modern Basque house. The well fitted kitchen / living area contributed to a very relaxed week. Bedrooms, bathroom and ample storage space upstairs were beautifully decorated. We enjoyed our aperitifs on the terrace. Brigitte and her husband were a charming couple who made us feel very welcome were very helpful throughout our stay. Its peaceful location at the end of the access road to this part of the countryside meant the only noise we heard was the mooing of cows. This was an excellent location tour from which to tour the Pays Basque region. St Jean de Luz, Biarritz, Bayonne, St Jean Pied de Port are all within easy reach. If you want to explore this area you couldn't do any better. Keith and Diane Wright (Scotland)

Rural Villa with pleasant aspect over fields and pool.

5 of 5
Had a really nice time here in a rural Villa with pleasant aspect and pool. Quiet area with just a pleasant Auberge in the nearby village. Easy 6km access to Salies De Bearn with Carrefour, Golf and other smaller shops. Bigger shops are in Ortez via main road. Hosts were very welcoming, considerate and helpful. Could hear the occasional chicken, goose and tractor as this is a rural place. Accommodation and kitchen was clean and tidy and efficient. The pool, being the same depth throughout, villa is probably more suitable adults and teens than small children. Sun decking with shaded table and chairs a great feature.
