Great experience all round! Helpful, friendly host. comfortable & equipped house. Good location.

5 of 5
We were a mixed group of 8, in Cannes for a birthday weekend. We wanted a mix of good location for walking to town, bars, shops etc, but also the home comforts to host a large dinner party on one evening. After contacting Sophie in advance she answered many questions on everything from purchasing food at the local market (really recommend) to kitchen utensils, blenders etc. She was quick to respond, warm and helpful every step of the way! The house itself has everything we needed and lives up to the pictures exactly. The Kitchen is actually bigger and better equipped than the photos show which was a bonus. The garden is a real sun trap and we spent a fair amount of time out there relaxing. It doesn't feel overlooked and is sheltered from the wind. Location is near enough to the action but still quiet. Bit of a hill to get up to on foot so what may be 10 minutes down is 15-20 back up be we didn't mind at all. You need to assign your tallest guests to rooms carefully as there are some low beams in some rooms (though I'm sure all the good wine we were drinking only added to the clumsiness) that said, the beams and design of the place is what really makes it so cosy. Met Sophie and her kids on departure (as she let us leave our bags there as we had a late flight) You could tell that she really cared and it was a family affair looking after the place and the guests. All in all, it was one of the easiest stays I have had and thoroughly enjoyable. An old traditional building with all mod cons and decor. If/when we visit the south of France in the future we'd be sure to stay again!

Ein kleines Paradis in Cannes

5 of 5
