Make a holiday rental apartment or villa in Camors, France your home away from home

Located between the Breton port towns of Vannes and Lorient on the south coast of Brittany, France, Camors is a magnificent place from which to explore the maze of islands in the Gulf of Morbihan to the amazing historical marvels of the Morbihan countryside and from the sandy beaches of the Cote Sauvage to the quaint Breton market towns which adorn the area.

Things to do on holiday in Camors, France

There is so much to do from holiday rental accommodation in Camors. The Sandy Atlantic beaches which line the Gulf of Morbihan are some of the nicest sand beaches anywhere in northern France, with many miles of sand on which to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The beaches of Carnac and Etel are amongst the finest in the immediate proximity of a Camors property rental, but with so many little secluded beaches to choose from within a half hour drive, you will be spoilt for choice. Anyone with an interest in sailing will be completely at home in a Camors rental villa, as the sailing around the many islands of the Gulf of Morbihan is exceptional.

The village of Camors backs onto the huge, dark Forest of Camors, which is a famous destination for walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders. The forest is a wonderfully quiet and natural place, in which you can easily get carried away with the legends of King Arthur and Merlin the Magician which are associated with the area. The Forest Adventure Park, which offers tree based entertainment, is a wonderful place to visit, especially with children as your nerve is tested from treetop platforms seemingly miles above the ground!

Camors accommodation is also perfectly suited to cosy fishing trips and golf holidays. There are many stretches of river in the area famous for their fishing credentials, and all you need is a license, available from any tourist information centre in the Camors area. Short holiday fishing permits are easily available, and very good value. There are also a good range of golf courses, the closest of which is the Rimaison Golf Course near Pontivy. The River Blavet, which runs through Camors, is a magnificent place to fish, although there are many canoes which paddle through the built-up stretches of the banks.

fantastic holiday

5 of 5
We took our grand children to Carnac. a place we have always enjoyed when our children were young, Marie-Annick has a fanastic home to rent exceedingly well equipped and comfortable. Its a few minutes walk into the old town where lots of social events take place and although its within easy walking distance to all the towns beaches loaded with beach paraphernalia its better to take the car. we highly recommend this property and the owner who is very pleasant and would have been pleased to assist if needed.

A real home from home

5 of 5
This was our ninth stay at La Metairie, but our first stay at the Coach House. We really appreciated having the extra room as we could put our baby in there, away from the other two kids who had their own room next door. The patio area is superb also, we enjoyed many barbecues overlooking the fields. Such a nice spot, especially if you appreciate a little privacy on holiday. The facilities were excellent, as usual, and the kids had a ball getting to know the other children and playing in the vast and well equipped garden. What a treat to go swimming at night time, to cool off from the heat! Nothing is too much trouble for Joanne and Adrian - they are the perfect hosts, and their hospitality is one of the main reasons we return here time and time again. Pluvignier is a well positioned town, centrally located to so many other towns in the Morbihan area. I would highly recommend this property to any families who wish to 'chill' out and relax, whilst the children have plenty to do there too.
