Rural quietude

4 of 5
Family of 9 readily accommodated in this house at the end of a cul de sac. Transport is essential as there are no real facilities in the village but the Lidl supermarket in Lamoulin is only 5 minutes drive away, and cheaper than Intermarche in Herepian. The heatwave ensured that the excellent pool was well used and that most of our living was done out of doors. Our particular crcumstances made the fact of the second (fully-equipped, incidentally) kitchen a godsend for the coeliac member of the party, ensuring no cross contamination of supplies. Pezenas and Olargues were well worth visiting, but kayaking on the Orb is only for the young and fit!! We had a fine time and would not rule out going back if circumstances allowed.

Gîte in great location for Herault and Orb valley. Very hospitable host with use of stunning pool.

An excellent week spent in this gite. Felt very at home around a beautiful pool and stunning views of the valley. Benno is an excellent host and the gite has everything you need and more! The location is excellent for visits to the spectacular Hérault and Orb valleys . Recommend canoeing on both rivers and the hike up the Gorges Héric is a must . There are plenty of villages of interest to visit and the coast is not too far away . The life in the village is very quiet and there is no cafe or restaurants so you do need a car and be prepared to cook or eat a drive away. The gite has everything you need to prepare meals and Benno is quite happy for guests to use the terraces around the pool for outdoor dining. We were happy to eat outside the gite. We had a great week and have every intention of returning!
