Make A Holiday Rental Apartment in Brest, France, Your Home Away From Home

The city of Brest is located in the Finistere department, in the region of Brittany. This is right in the extreme north-western corner of the country of France. Brest is the second largest city in the region of Brittany, after Rennes, and actually the 22nd largest settlement in the whole of France. As your holidays in Brest would be situated right beside the sea, many of the city’s main attractions tend to focus on this. The self catering apartments in Brest will be very well-equipped with all facilities you could ever need for a perfect break away.

Things to Do on Holiday in Brest, France

There are ample things to do on your holidays in Brest. The city has one of the best shopping centres in Brittany and those shopaholics in your travelling group should prove to be very happy during their time here. This part of Finistere has some great beaches within a very short driving distance and this is where you should head if you fancy a swim, sailing excursion, chance to snorkel, or even fish out at sea. A short drive out of the city will bring you to some wonderful countryside. Here you may wish to enjoy a rambling trek, 18 holes worth of golf, or even a chance to participate in horse riding or kayaking.

Places to Visit on Holiday Brest, France

The city of Brest really does offer a number of great attractions for you to visit. There are some great museums here, most of which are dedicated to the fact that Brest has always gained its wealth and recognition from the sea - after all, it is the second largest naval port in France. The Musee de la Tour Tanguy and The Musee National de la Marine de Brest are two popular examples for you. You should also set time aside to visit Brest Castle - which is where the city first started from hundreds of years ago. Tanguy Tower is another historically important attraction; alas, following heavy bombing during World War II, much of the city’s older architecture was lost.

Winter temperatures see an average of around 9 degrees Celsius; whilst Summers are usually around a very pleasant 22 degrees. This part of France experiences more than 30 inches of rainfall each year, mainly down to the fact that it is subject to the Atlantic Frontal systems.

Travel to Brest, France

A beautiful property, well located.

5 of 5
The property is well thought out and beautifully fitted. Not enormous, with spiral staircase to the bedroom and bathroom. Nice outdoor sitting area and private parking. The only downside was very poor internet connection and a downstairs loo! . The Crozon peninsula is stunning, offering walking, boating, surfing. We did it all.

so amazing

This apartment has to be experienced to be believed. Most of the time we thought we were on a cruise liner with the view, and the sound of the sea was so soothing. The rooms were exceptional and the owners so nice and kind. There were flowers , Champagne and a tin of biscuits waiting for us. We did not want to go anywhere to visit because it was so amazing. Will be back in 2018 hopefully
