Hot Stuff!

5 of 5
We were a group of two couples, all retired pensioners and this was our first time in this part of Normandy. We did not know quite what to expect when we arrived but we were certainly not disappointed. The whole property seemed as though it had only just undergone a total makeover and was bright, clean and very welcoming. We particularly enjoyed having our own piece of garden to sit out in during the long summer evenings (daytime temperatures reached 34 degrees centigrade). Most evenings we were joined by Karine's dog (Fiji?) which seemed to enjoy our company and played a good game of football. The gite was very comfortable, well furnished and met all our holiday needs though we would have liked a few more large wine glasses as well as some beer glasses. But these were only minor points and in no way detracted from our enjoyment of the house and its surroundings. The gite itself is part of a larger house and is surrounded by farmland with a pond for ducks close by. We were all delighted with the atmosphere of being away from passing traffic and the bustle of town life. However the nearest town and market is only a short drive away and provides a plentiful supply of local produce. Sadly our stay of just under a week was far too short for us to see all that we wanted and we hope to return in the not too distant future.
