The Perfect Retreat

5 of 5
The Maison du Fleuve is the perfect retreat You forget all your worries and put up your feet Sat round the pool where you can gaze upon The ancient town walls of Aubettere Sur Dronne. The house is a good size with plenty of charm Instilling in oneself a good sense of calm Two kitchens are handy, one up and one down The veranda with games room the jewel in its crown Each night we sat out to chat and play games The pizza ovens great but ours went up in flames Heed our advice and don't use too much wood 'Cos when there's no burnt bits the Pizza tastes good! La Taverne is close by, the service is great No complaints here for the food that we ate. The kayaks were fun but the course is a test Even Ray Mears would've struggled at best Overall everyone had a great stay The greatest of times in every way So thank you to Roland, and Janie and Sue Hopefully one day we'll rebook with you.

Fantastic Property

5 of 5
My family and I have just spent a wonderful week at this beautiful property. It was spacious, modern and very comfortable. Philip and Maria were kind and friendly and couldn't do enough to help but without being overbearing. We took our 3 month old daughter with us and they were able to supply lots of convenient items like a travel cot and baby bath. The property is situated in a quiet hamlet and the peace and quiet was just what we needed. It is however within very close proximity to larger villages and a convenient supermarket. Finally, the stars at night should not be missed - spectacular! I would definitely recommend this property.
