What an amazing place, we couldn’t believe our luck when we drove up the hill to this beautiful gite with amazing views. GIgi greeted us with a warm welcome and showed us around. We had the larger gite, beautiful and bright with amazing interior, large Italian shower, really well equiped kitchen and very clean. A lovely quiet relaxing place where you could just relax and unwind. Unfortunately we had only booked one night as we were just travelling through but have promised myself to go back soon and spend much longer. Gigi and Marc are excellent hosts, thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Superlatives are not really adequate in describing the experience of a stay in this apartment . On the edge of the Dordogne river and the old town of Bergerac, this old house exudes stories of its past and envelops the occupants in a calming charm. The photographs in this listing do perfect justice to the immaculate décor . Clare, the owner, has gone a long way beyond normal expectations in her efforts to make this a comfortable apartment. Through her greeting on our arrival with meats, cheese, fruit, and wonderful Bergerac Rosé, to the care she took on our departure to be sure we had had an enjoyable stay, I feel we have made a friend and it was a pleasure to make her acquaintance. We had an amazing nine days in this apartment. If you are looking for a peaceful, restful, holiday with the very best of food, wine, and Périgord scenery right on your doorstep then I absolutely recommend Clare’s apartment. My next stay is already booked.
